I loved tattooing this piece for Joe! The Japanese hannya mask flows so well with the rest of the design. I wanted to make sure the hannya was  on a angle which could be almost looking down onto the rest of the Japanese tattoo sleeve. Joe only wanted a little bit of colour, so we used the Japanese peony flowers as a nice contrast with the rest of the black and grey shading. It’s always nice to see the light shading from the Japanese tattoo healed as the sumi ink is normally red when shading due to the thinness of the tattoo ink.
